Est. New York City
A neighborhood bakery and pantry on East Harlem's 1st Avenue — sourdough, pastries, and curated groceries made or sourced with care.
Our Story
Bobafish opened its doors on 1st Avenue with a simple conviction: the best food doesn't need a stage. It needs a bakery oven running at 5 a.m., a well-stocked shelf, and a neighborhood that shows up every day.
We bake sourdough and viennoiserie in small batches, and we select pantry staples the way we'd select them for our own tables — with attention to origin, technique, and taste. This is a place for the bread you reach for on Tuesday and the olive oil you save for Sunday.
See what we makeWhat We Do
Bakery
Country loaves with a open crumb, croissants laminated to a fault, and seasonal tarts — all baked before dawn, every day.
Grocery
Olive oils, preserved foods, artisan cheeses, and imported goods — items we'd keep in our own kitchen and recommend to neighbors.
Coffee
Espresso, pour-over, and matcha — roasted by local New York roasters, pulled with care, served in a mug that fits your morning rhythm.
The Neighborhood
1744 1st Avenue sits in a stretch of East Harlem where bodegas share blocks with bookshops, where the subway rumble is just background noise, and where people still know their corner baker by name.
We didn't move here to be trendy. We moved here because this is where we wanted to bake — where the light hits the sidewalk in the late afternoon, where the regulars arrive before the rush, and where a loaf of bread feels like a promise kept.
